What exactly are you asking? Are you wondering if the system runs off the battery or the alternator, or if it will shorten the life of your alternator???

 

you ask this like it is bad... well yes, your sound system does "drain" power from your alternator, just like your power windows, locks, lights, heater, fuel pump, etc. Your alternator generates all the power that your car uses when its running, unless you have a really big woofer and amp, that pull more than the alternator can generate, then it pulls from the batter as well. If your car is not even on, then it just pulls from the battery. So... yeah... this crap is true...

Best honda upgrade car audio battery I know of, right there. Or role with an Optima for about 50 less and do some minor mod's to make it fit.

That battery will keep you rolling with little worry of bottoming out your power system. Just don't jam for 3 hours with the car off, you won't be going anywhere.
