2012 USB Android Support
Just got the 2012 Civic and it says that my HTC Evo is unsupported when I plug it into the USB. Anybody have any ideas how to get this support?

It might be something in the android software itself. On my Droid X, I have to tell my phone to behave as a USB mass storage device for it to show up correctly on my computers.
|
I've tried that. There's 4 options "USB storage" as one of them, and none of them are recognized.
|
Has anyone found a way to get their Android phone recognized in the Honda Civic?
|
I'm not sure what version of Android software is on the HTC Evo, but I know they just released Gingerbread 2.3.3 for the Droid X. Maybe there is an update for your phone. Just a shot in the dark.

Do you have the LX or EX trim? I've bypassed using the USB port with my phone (also an HTC Evo) by using the Bluetooth feature.
|
Yeah, I'd have known about that definitely. I've got the LX trim which I may still add my own Bluetooth.

I picked up a lx and was excited about the usb port. I have a droid x and my civic says it unsupported even though I have my droid on mass storage mode.
Also, I haven't tried it yet but do we add wallpapers by adding them to a thumb drive and connecting to the usb? |

Haven't tried it since the last update, but it didn't work when Evo went to 2.3. It would be amazing if it would accept it as an audio input. So using Pandora, and calls and such.
