I'll know for sure in a few weeks when I yank mine, but the round end would indicate to me that it's an auxiliary plug. Is yours an EK? If so, and you have keyless entry, the keyless entry receiver is powered off the OEM head unit, so you'll need an adapter to plug into the harness to get it to work with the aftermarket head unit.

My honda is an LX however I do have the keyless part that unlocks and locks the doors. It is a factory CD player and AM/FM stereo. I installed the tape deck below it seperately and just need the adepter to plug the tape into the back of the CD.

Here is a picture of the tape adapter and the back of CD player. How can they connect?

that tape player might be out of a 96-98

It is from a 96 Honda civic and mine is a 99 however the back of the tape player has the same input as the output.. so the gray circle plug...

Are you getting rid of what you just posted?
