Default alarm problem

hey everyone. I'm working on a 99 Honda Accord that has a sidewinder alarm. There's a serious problem. The car's alarm isnt responding to the pager. we've replaced the battery but nothing. The car will only lock the doors from the pager and then the alarm will go off. The alarm doesnt respond to the shut off switch or the valet switch. What can I do? I tried to pull out the alarm comps but nothing. I had to disconnect the horn cuz it was getting on my nerves. Any advice?

Default RE: alarm problem

it sounds like your having issues with the factory alarm if i understood you correctly....
does it happen to be a LX if so the factory alarm will only arm and disarm with the factory remote...so there might be a comunacatuion problem between your sidewinder and the factory alarm..
what model is yor sidewinder i have accsess to DEIs tech manuals and since they own sidewinder i might be able to help you out...
