If you have an iPod without a doubt go for the new one. It is a cable that simply pugs in the back and is around 30-40 bucks. Check out the 9857, that one seems to be our most popular this year.

Well IDK if this helps but i have the new Alpine CDA9856 Deck w/ 30G ipod!! My HU had the ipod high speed cable that plugs in from the back and i am able to control my ipod from my HU making it way easier to find songs. Also the high speed cable charges your ipod when the car is runing... so no more running out of power while using those FM transmiters!! The cable only cost me $25.00 and my HU was like $225.00. Here are a few pics of the setup.......
