i wanted to get the type-x what would be a good amp to go with it? price is no issue. and also what kind of amp should i get to power the 4 speakers in my car? 2 pioneer 4way(260w) and 2 pioneer 5way(260w).

 

anything that puts out around 700rms but I would suggest getting 2 Type R's or 1 Type R 15 before the Type X. The Type X is a under-performer

 

yup, i would also suggest 2 type-r's instead of 1 type-x. as for amp, i'd get the mrd-1005

 

i was lookin at that amp too. now the question is.....2 10" or 1 12" if i did go with the type r? i don't want to go any bigger.

 

it's really personal choice of music u listen too, i personally always went with with 12's, it's up to you really.

 

2 10's in the proper box will amaze you. the Type R's are underrated and I suggest putting around 500 to 600rms to each one. A good amp for cheap if you can find one is a JBL BP 1200.1, I used one on my 12W7 and it did really good for the $200 I paid. They are also known to be a lil bit underrated.

 

yup i got 600 watts rms running my type-r, sounds gr8. the new type-r's are rated at 500 watt rms ( not like the old ones that were only 300 rms)

 

i just went to a nearby PACIFIC STEREO and they said that almani was better than the type r and type x. and much cheaper. 12" $180 and a 2000w amp for $200. so i'm gonna do my homework on that stuff now. but that sounds like a sweet deal. oh and my music is mostly rock and some dance/trance stuff. to give you an idea of how i'm going to do my setup, just look at how cutt did his. mine is going to be very similar.
