Default amp frequency

just a question about my amp, that i couldn't figure out in the manual. On the side of the amp where i can adjust the input level there is an identical **** that says frequency and it ranges from 32 to 320, just wondering what this was, anyone know what this does? i played around with it and can't really figure out the difference.

Is it not the low pass filter?

If not it may be a high pass filter, that you can set higher to keep the low's from playing so much out of yoru component or mid-range speakers.

Typicaly the low pass ranges from like 40 and up, I keep mine around 80 most of the time, the higher you go the more bass you get from mid-range bass. if you listen to alot of rock you might want it higher, but the high's will overtime dammage a voice coil in a sub.

I would have to guess its a high filter, if you leave it about mid ways up, or in the lower end of the spectrum, you should be ok, that is if you have it turned to the HPF.
