Default amp wiring

just wondering, i'm installing an amp, and when i run the power cable down one side of the car, are the speaker wires going to be affected if they are close? and how can i avoid it?

No. If the wires are new then u should have no problem. But make sure you have no tears on
the wires so that they dont make contact.

Which speakers are the speaker wires supposed to amplify?

although it shouldnt matter, it is good practice to seperate power and audio, in my car i have power going down the left side and audio down the center

well the speaker wires are going to each of the 4 speakers. and although i'd love to have audio going down the center of the car, that sounds like a royal pain in the ***.

so far my plan is to run the power cord down the right hand side of the car (the side of the battery) and run the rca cable down the left. My only worry was when running the speaker wires from the amp i didn't know if they would be affected when they are near / if not parrallel to power on the right.

it is really in your best interst to keep em seperate, if you have well sheilded new cables, it might be ok, but u should rally have audio seperated from power, just cause you might run into interfearance

It creates interference which makes your sound quality go down and will make the speakers buzz when no music is playing.

If youdo run wires on the same side of a vehicle...try not to run them parallel to each other..Cross them and get some space between them. The power wires can and will induce noise into the speaker wires. Obviously you can't avoid it (if you have more then two speakers) so do the best you can.
