I just got new Kenwoods and I hooked them up through my amp. I was driving through Stop and Shop parking lot and I set off a Civic SI and a BMW car alarm. LOL

I just have 2 10's, and you can set Vipers and other sensitive alarms off all day long. Just hit the mall, turn it up about 50% and listen to the music *alarms*..

I personaly HATE alarms that will set off that quickly. If I had one, I would probably set the trembler to the lowest possible setting, or remove it alltogether.

Yeah alarms that sensative are irritating...when you have one that goes off over anything it pretty much defeats the purpose of having it, because after a while no one pays attention and assumes its nothing when it gets set off.

On a brighter note back in high school when I was into SPL comps with my s-10 blazer I set them off all the time...I even had friends neighbors come yell at me for rattleing the china in their hutch from the curb out front. Had some old lady whose house I passed everyday coming from my g/f's house chase me one day because i woke them up from their nap....man I wish I had the money for a system like that again...ah the bliss of no responsibilities and a decent paycheck....those were the days

How about a system that hit 146 decibels
I think the numbers are more important than just what alarms your car made go off XD
I hit that much with two infiniti 12s in a ported
My type X, my most expensive sub, is probably THE worst out of them all for making noise XD

The best number I was ever able to pull down was 149.8...was always enough to take 1st place in my class...was usually almost always teh loudest at the comp period (at that time). I was running 3 Rockford Power DVC 12's in a custom box (spec'd by a dude at rockford thnx to my connections at the time) and a Hifonics Colossus Amp (one of the original ones, thing was about 3 ft long) ~2k watts.

That same blazer had a 40 series flowmaster muffler...did a db drag for that noise too and I think it was ~120 db...it set offas manyalarmsas the stereo...

I can drive by cars at 1k rpm's in my regal and set off alarms.

I wish I knew of competitions around me... I'd like to see what my setup can do. Although... im starting to get out of the audio game and get into more performance.
