anyone have a newer alpine?
i am looking into getting a new alpine and hear that the ipod interface is tedious to use....can't you just plug it in and pick ur song from the Ipod or when its plugged in do u lose control from the ipod
my panasonic head unit has auxilary inputs that allow you to use your ipod throught the headphone jack on it. I believe the new alpines have it to. you just need a 3ft rca to 2.5mm headphone jack cord
no you won't be able to use the ipod cable but you will be able to fully control your ipod. It will be louder if you do it through the AUX inputs and you can use the ipods internal Equalizer
well on my IVA-W200 the ipod controls kinda suck BUT you can set your ipod to the selection you want and then plug it into the IPOD interface cable.... i usualy keep mine on shuffle so its fine with me....
not the best interface BUT it works decently... just navigating sucks since ya cannt go back.... ya have to start out on the front everytime ya want to search for a song

I am very happy with my Alpine.
I don't know why anyone would want to bother controlling the tunes from the ipod. That seems like it wouldjust defeat thepurpose of having an ipod cable/interface. Guess you couldjust get car charger for the ipod(if you keep in in the carlong enough todrain thebatts)and a mini-to-rcas cable and plug it straight into an amp.
