Default Best Buy Installation

Ok so i bought 2 front component speakers from best buy a couple weeks ago and i was going to install them myself but it came with free installation. So the guy from best buy calls me to say its done and good but when putting the door panel back together he accidently broke the door lock clip. he goes down to honda and orders the part says it'll be a 10 minute $10 fix and they'll pay for it. So he never calls me back and i finally call this week. He says he "hasnt had the time" to call me but the part is in and i can have it fixed this week. So i took it in yesterday for wut i thought would be a quick fix. 3 hours of waiting later he comes in and tells me to come look at it. He has it all put back together and says it doesnt seem to be workin right. he's right, the door lock is really, really hard to move up and down, so hard that i almost broke my key trying to get the door unlocked. He immediatly blames honda and says they must have sent him the wrong part or somthin. So he says he'll call them and demand a new part. I'm startin to worry if my car will ever get fixed so i decide to jus go down to honda and see what they say. Turns out this guy broke the door look cable, clip, and something else, which turned this simple $10 fix into a 3 day $300 problem. Now im stuck ridin around in the girlfriend MB SLK until its done. Best buy says they'll cover it tho but still big inconveniance. And on top of that one of my brand new subs arrived with a warped cone. Its been a great week.

Man if you only knew how often that stuff happens.

Make sure it is 100% fixed when you get it back, even if it takes more visits and inconvenience for you. They will fix it but it may take time unfortunatly.

Yeah make sure you bitch and complain, especially if you can do it infront of customers. That seems to work the best. Maybe you can talk them into a free set of rear speakers or something for your inconvienence.

It is my experience that if you complain about something in public in earshot of other customers, they will usually go all out to help you. I complain lots of times. that's how I got free HBO for a month. LOL!

I am never letting Best Buy touch my car. This is the 2nd or 3rd horror story I've heard about their installation technicians. Have the dealership fix it and make sure Best Buy pays the tab.

I would complain about not being able to drive your own car. Complain, complain, complain, until you get what you want.
