boom but no clearness
ihave 2 12" rockford fosgates. and 2 1500 rockford amps. optima battery no doubt. but as intirior goes i dont know what speakers r good cuz i know rockfords are hard to get nowadays. if it helps any i drive a 4door civic 1990. that pulls really hard.
How are the speakers wired? And if you can toss a model number out on the amps, and the specs on the subs it will help us see if it might be a wiring confliction.
Also how are the amps set, Gain - bass boost - LP filter - etc...
We will do what we can.

Oh, I missread that thread, thought you wanted to know why your speakers were not living up to their potential.
I will post some ideas for you later when I have time. And some links where you can save some $$.

If you check out the guys at http://www.sonicelectronix.com/index.phpyou can get a pretty decent deal on a set of Alpines, or pretty much any other speaker for the interior.
The Alpine Type S is the typical Apline solution, and they are 30% cheaper here then anywhere else I have seen them, although I haven't purchased from them yet, so i can't say I swear by their service, but I plan to.
The Type S seen here, only 60 bucks a set.
The Infinity Reference series seen here, along the same quality/price/reliability.
The Pioneer, a very cheaply priced decent upgrade over factory seen here.
These are a few budget picks, if you go upwards in quality, you are going to want an amp to bring out the full quality. These 3 will sound pretty decent on factory or aftermarket powered head units alone.
If you have any questions, or want to compare, let me know I will help you out however i can.

In my experience, Alpine and Infinity sound amazing!
Depends on budget really, you can get Type S components and Type S 6x9's for almost 200 bux, maybe more maybe less depending...type r sound even better and can take ALOT of RMS watts if you decide to amp them.
Course a nice 500 dollar set of Top of the Line Diamonds sound great too!
