My LED light is always on. I also have one on the stock radio, but that thing's not connected cuz there's an aftermarket HU in the slot right above the cupholders.

I have an idea...how about I go back to the factory keyless entry? I'll trace all the wires and rip them out, then buy the thing that allows you to keep the factory keyless with an aftermarket HU...then I'll buy one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-98...spagenameZWDVW

well you dont have to rip all the wires out.... i would advice to have it just replaced with another remote starter system.... its easier to clean up wires than to rip them all out... since most of the wires will just be reused... so only thing that might change is soldering some wires and just taping up the wires to be more organized and OEM looking...

Hmm ok do you have a cheap one you would recommend? Or would it be easier to just get the one that's the same brand as mine, for $80 on ebay?

if its the same brand... then theirs a good chance you could just unplug that alarm and plug in the new alarm BUT i would still pay a alarm shop to go over the work and ensure its hooked up properly.

that sounds good, but I don't have any alarm shops around me, I'm in the middle of git 'r done county.

So if the new alarm just hooks up, all I'd need to do is use the new remotes and program them?

EDIT: I just looked at the ebay link you posted, that alarm's not gonna plug right in. Screw it, I'm gonna go back to the factory keyless. I'll have best buy take it off, and buy some OEM remotes

well the alarm should come preprogramed... so you should just have to plug and play the system.
but one good thing is if ya buy the replacement alarm then ya got a wiring diagram. so post up the wiring diagram from the manual and i can help ya out with wiring anything extra or unknown.
or at least do my best to describe to ya......

Prepare to be raped, lol.

Best Buy charged me, an employee, 120 bucks for an alarm install...I'm not complaining or anything. But I got an estimate from some other guys for $45/hour taking 2 hours, 3 at the most.

Only reason I took best Buy is cause I work there, I get the warranty, I can have them fix anything when I am working and not have to find rides and ****,

O_O they quoted me $35 a couple months ago...made an appointment and it turned out that the "guy who knew how to do it" wasn't there. They charge an hourly rate? They just told me $35 to remove my "custom installed" alarm...
