capacitor installation question
Sorry Levi, didnt see your post til after I just posted. Very helpful, by the way. So the point of the resistor is to just offer some initial resistance while the capacitor charges slowly...rather than connecting it instantly and having some sparks fly? I figure that once the cap charges fully there will be no flow of current and that is why the light dims out and also what lets you know the cap is fully charged? Sorry if I'm asking dumb questions...I know the theory side to circuits and such, but haven't had much hands on experience. Thanks again for the help.
