Car stereo has no power

I have a 94 Civic. It had a crappy cd player in it when i got it so i wanted to put a different one in with an aux jack. I took the old on out and put the brand new one in...i even bought a new wiring harness. I've installed cd players in my other cars and never had a problem. This just doesnt get any power at all. Ive checked all the fuses, all the wires, everything i can think of. Also, when i disconnected my antenna wire from the back of the old cd player it broke and got stuck in the hole. Do i need this to get power to my radio? cause if not im not going to bother fixing it i never use the radio. Please help!! I just want my system back!

RE: Car stereo has no power

Power for the yellow (constant 12v) wire comes from the 7.5 amp "BACK UP" fuse in the box next to the battery under the hood. Did you check that?

The antenna does not need to be connected.

The antenna does not need to be connected BUT your FM reception will be extremely limited! With that said, I hate 98% of the local radio stations so that would be no loss to me if I were to lose my antenna connection.

Well, if you do hok up the antenna you need to get that adapter.
you can't just plug in the antenna into the back of the radio.
That's probably why you broke it

I had the same problem with my radio. I replaced the 7.5 fuse and it still isn’t working. QUOTE=mk378;568748]Power for the yellow (constant 12v) wire comes from the 7.5 amp "BACK UP" fuse in the box next to the battery under the hood. Did you check that?
