THIS IS MY FIRST POST ON THIS FORUM.I'M BRAND NEW TO THIS. HERE IS MY PROBLEM,I WENT TO GET A NEW BATTERY AND AFTER THEY INSTALLED IT,I NOTICED THAT THE WORD CODE WAS ON THE DISPLAY SCREEN OF THE STEREO.TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT,I NEED TO GET THE SERIAL NUMBER OFF THE CD PLAYER INORDER FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO GIVE ME YHE CODE TO RESET THE UNIT.MY HONDA CIVIC IS A 99.ANY SUGESTIONS ON HOW REMOVE THE PLAYER WOULD BE MOST HELPFUL THANK YOU.

 

you are going to probbaly need special pins inserts to do this go to your local shop they should be able to hook u up if it is stock thenlook it up in a repair manual (haynes)

Here ya go bro.....take your time. Provide the serial#, and the model# of the radio. Located on the bottom of it AFTER you pull it out. They might want to see proof of ownership before they give you the code......just be ready.

 

usualy the code is under the hood.. thats where mine was.. i had circut city install the stock deck back in after finding a big dent.. long story.. and i couldnt turn it on cuz i needed the code.. i went to honda and my name wasnt even in the computer yet for owning a civic.. weird.. but he showed me where the code was.. mabey cuz i was a girl and he didnt think i stole it..

 

have the same problem on my 98 mitsubishi montero it's a pain in the *** to take out in this i am just going to have a good deck put i so you never have to deal with the code problem again

 

WHERE IS IT UNDERTHE HOOD? I HAVE BEEN WARNED THIS IN THE MANUAL. JUST TO BE READY! THANKS
