Ok, So Im getting a new car in Febuary... And I am thinking about getting a component system for it to equal out my bass to mid/high ratio. Ive read around that I wont need to amp rear speakers and I might just leave them stock and power them with my H/U (Pioneer DEH - 6900UB). I will be hiding the amp under mine/my passanger seat... so looks dont really matter. I have an Audiobahn A8000T mono powering a Kicker L7 10" in my current car with a Kicker 1 guage wiring kit so I will just use a distro-block for power to my new amp. I will be using Rockford Dual twist RCAs and some 10 guage speaker wire like on my sub. Anyway... now that you know a little about my setup, on to my question.

How are these components?: 100wrms @ 4 OHMs

I suggest not going for the audiobahn amps. They do not perform to their ratings and heat up a bit more easily than a lot of other amps, they do not represent the highest in quality. Look into hifonics, one of the undoubted best bang for the buck amps out in manufacturing today.
As for the rears, I do suggest rears if you really want to focus in on evening your bass/mid/high, although you'd be surprised how hard it is to match a head pounding sub, but i'll assume by your setup, it's not too head pounding, which is good...i can't stand those types of rides. Larger speakers have better sensitivities/efficiencies due to their displacement, so you'll get a lot more volume out of a 6x9 compared to a 5.25 or a 6.5 (considering same material, brand etc)

Pioneer has made a surprising new very lightweight (which means great efficiency) and yet solid (great quality in sound and durability) speaker cone, I would wait until these come out then listen to them at your local audio shop
I do expect these to sound better than my alpine X components, i might trade them in for these as a matter of fact

So Audiobahn amps are a no go? I have one to my kicker and although I wouldnt say its amazing, it still pumps pretty hard and has never overheated/went into protection mode for the 6 months Ive had it. So Hifonics is a good brand amp and true to their watts? How is the titan line? Im looking at the TXi 6406 or TXi 8805. Both look pretty good to me. And those Pioneers look pretty good, I didnt really read much but any idea when they come out and the price range? I might wait till they come out and read up a little more on them. My kicker WAY over powers my stocks at half on the bass knob so I keep it more in the 1/4 range when im just crusing around and it still kind of over powers the stocks, but will turn it up when Im trying to impress... and its loud enough for me... Still looking for more opinions on amps/component systems that are decent but still somewhat inexpensive.


One more question, I have a capacitor installed just before my sub amp, would it be ok to just leave it where it is or should I move it to where its installed before both amps? If I dont do that will it hurt anything?

I'll start from the capacitor. You can leave it where it is, but I highly suggest selling your capacitor and grabbing a second battery. Where capacitors are rated for ampere seconds, batteries are rated for amp hours. A capacitor may be able to store up charge, but you'd need about a 20 farad capacitor to make a good difference. Although a 1 or 2 farad cap will prevent dimming of the lights, it still creates a strain on the battery, and if you have a song with repetitive or long bass times, a cap will do nothing. A cap will help you for about 1 bass hit, before it needs about an extra second to charge up fully again, at which point it pulls from the battery then discarges completely before pulling from the battery again. If the bass is draining enough or repetitive enough then at a point the cap will do nothing. If your lights never dim, you probably aren't draining enough for the cap to even make much of a difference anyway. It is much better to spend the money on a battery which will last for ampere hours than seconds.

Now as for the audiobahn, when I say heat up I don't particularly mean burning hot, even so as long as you're keeping your levels good then no amp should heat up. They just heat up more easily than other amps.

Hifonics amps are great and their RECENT ones are true to their watts, 2 year old models not as much, but only off by about 20 or 30 watts altogether. But if you're getting a brand new amp you shouldn't have a problem. The titan is fine, I've sold a few of those and never had an issue with them whatsoever, in fact they rarely even seem to heat up

as for the pioneers, it just says coming out soon with a price tag of 130 - 200 dollars depending on model

I was looking to shoot for the 300-350 range all together if possible... Maybe a little over that if needed.

Wow those first ones seem awsome for the price considering what that guy said about them on the other forum. And how is that amp? The price sounds awsome but do you know how it preforms? Better or worse then the Hifonics amps? Thanks for those links.
