crossover

Do they really do that much for your sound system?

RE: crossover

yes they do for sound quality. it enables you to set wich frequencies to pass to each speaker and sub. it lets you send only the low frequencies to your subs (i usually set it to 80 and under), then you can send the rest to your speakers (i usually set it to 80 and over), plus if you have components, they have crossovers too to seperate the frequencies to your mids and tweeters. My HU has a built in crossover, so I set the sub-out to 80 and under, and i only let 80 and over pass to my components in front then it gets divided further by the crossover in the doors.

The 6 1\2 inch speakers I put in the doors sound like crap and it takes forever to get it tuned right and the song changes and it back to crap.
