well IF YA DONT MIND CUTTEN ;)
compare mine....... http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...s/a0139aaa.jpg Attachment 39513 Attachment 39514 sorry no comparison picture to the civics... i thought i did but cannt find the picture. but heres a comparison picture to my 95chevy trucks 6.5speakers. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...7_179_full.jpg if ya dont mind doing some cuting you can fit some preaty good size speakers in thier! my biggest problem was those holes arent a even circle as well as not deep enough. but mine fit realy nice... |
RE: cutout/depth
its got the dimensions right there. do they fit.
|
RE: cutout/depth
i dont know... i dont have stock panels anymore.....
but id say nothing aftermarket besides utter crap would fit with no modifications... dont wuss out... cut the B**** ;) its just plastic....... |
RE: cutout/depth
cut it....i had the same problem putting my memphis 6.5 in the front even had to shave some off the bottem of the speaker grill
|
RE: cutout/depth
well i would cut it.....if it ws my car lol. its my girls and i dont want to cut anything now and then try to find a stock door panel later when she goes to trade it in. i dont mind cutting the basket behind the speak just cutting around it, is what i dont want to do.

RE: cutout/depth
if she sells it just leave the speakers in.............
they way i see it....... if you dont plan on selling for awhile.. keep the small cheap speakers in the cars when ya sell em.... cause thier always comen out with BETER equipment ;) and after awhile you want beter louder speakers.... EVERYONE wants to always upgrade :D |
RE: cutout/depth
i take it no one knows the diameter lol. and depth doesnt look to be a problem unless the speaks over 2.7" it seems.
i feel ya on the better equip always comming out but its not like shes competing. just more detailed mids/highs is all thats needed + ease of install. |
RE: cutout/depth
well a little dremel will make the instal alot easier also ;)
dont worry about them being able to fit cause you can make them fit! just dont get extreme on the first cut.... you can always take more out but its alot harder to add it back.LOL the only thing you should have to cut is the back of the magnet.... so ya shouldnt have toworry about being able to put the stockers back in..... for the cost of some speakers i wouldnt worry about stripen em out if ya sell! when it comes to geting the newer car i doubt she will remember.... and when you break up with her or vis versa ;) ya dont have to worry about swapen the stuff back.LMFAO |
