Default Damnit!

My SECOND Eclipse has just conked out. WTF? This happened to my last unit... basically the cd player just stops reading discs. The radio and every other feature will work but the cd player just spits the disc out after 30 seconds.

This exact thing happened to my last unit. Any ideas guys? At low volumes you can hear road noise. Maybe I need to get a voltage regulator?

Anywho, here is the new one im about to buy.

If you have had problems with 2 eclipse decks why go back to them? I have had a couple freinds Sony HU's do this. Are you buying the lower-entry level HU's or mid to higher level HU's?

I dunno... its the only logical answer. You know how nasty road noise can be.

Im set on it. No turning me. Im jus tlike an ignorant domestic driver... just cant stop buying crap. Lol. ITs not crap though. there are a number of things that are probably going on. Like the condensation that is most likely dripping on top of the cd player

maybe the laser just needs to be cleaned, I have a similar problem with my stereo at home once in a while and that fixes it.

No offence but that head unit looks like it would break in 5 mins, Pioneer or Alpine for me, from my experience sony are crap too.
Heres mine, had it a while and never let me down.

I had a pioneer p1 do the same thing and it was like $1000 new. I think that if you have a high spl system, and a lowered car, the vibration and the constant rattle caused by the bass and rough ride just mess up the laser. Your road noise is just picking up interferance, bad grounds, or rcas next to a power source will cause this. Or if you just have low quality equipment. But even eclispe entry level is good stuff so that shouldn't be it.
