My friend has a 87 civic and wants me to hook up a deck in it. The problem is there are two many wires of the same color, they are like 2 wires that are red with the black stripe and 2 more red ones with black stripes and so on. I am kind of confused. I need to know the wires that need to go to the deck and what color goes to what color.

So does his car no longer had the original stereo plug on it? if not than you're going to be in a world of fun finding out which is which. BUT I would figure his car would still have the original stereo plug and if so than you simply need to aquire a harness adaptor from almost anywhere (wal-mart to best buy and even autozone or pepboys) and then it's simple color to color with the adaptor to the aftermarket decks plug.
