Default door speakers

I am gonna get some components for my 2000 civic dx coupe and was curious if any one has installed 6.5 Alpine type r components in their doors and what needs to be done to do so. I also have the same questions for CDT CL-61a components. Any experiences will be helpful.

or could someone tell me of a good tutorial for making an oversized speaker fit?
I don't mind cutting the door panel but it would be best to use the stock grill.

hey dickie, did they leave your stock grills on for your install?
and is it mounted to the panel or the metal behind it with an mdf baffle?

I wanted to put the Alpine 171A's in my 2005 Civic and the shop told me they encountered clearance issues with the window. We desided to put in the MB Quarts DSE 216's. No alterations required. I mounted the the tweeters in the mirrow covers and it looks and sounds sweet. Good luck.
