Default Enclosure

Im lookin into gettin 2 alpine 10" type-s subs at 300 watts rms each (DVC). I know i can wire them into 1 ohm. i was also lookin at hifonics brutus bx605 which puts out 600 watts rms at 1 ohm so i think thats ok. Then wut do u think abt putting them in a q-logic dual 10" bandpass box?
Thanks
Shane

Q logic is a good box. Me personally I like the sealed enclosures. But its all about preference. Bandpass is good stuff too. In a bandpass they will sound louder.

I agree I'm a sealed box kinda guy. I listen to all kinds of music. I feel bandbass boxes are best for hip hop music and punk. When mostly your listening to the beats and not the vocals.

.I dont like anything ported [:'(]. I went against my words and had a ported box and had to completly redo the sub system because the sub kept bottoming out and threw the vioce coil out of line. The new install is pretty cool. Ill post pics saturday.

I prefer a custom box over anything prefab

Is that a mono amp, cause member that a 2 ch bridged will see half the ohms you put to it caus its bridged

Nice choice on the subs BTW

I built this guy I work with a vented box for his (3) L7 12's and that thing friggin kills. It's gotta be in the high 150's. For all out SPL and just plain LOUD, ported/vented is the way to go, but for sound quality and true musical reproduction- acoustic suspension is the only way to fly.

What kind of music do you listen to?

If you listen to rap, then I would recommend bandpass. It's still accurate enough for rock too if you don't plan on ebetering any sound quality contests.

Btw- I have a Dual 10" bandpass box that I will almost give you if you want to pay shipping on it. Where do you live?
