Default factory radio problem

I bought a new headunit and lost my keyless entry. I bought a harness that connects the radio and headunit to the factory harness so i could get my keyless entry back. When i tried to connect the factory radio to the harness, the radio wouldnt power on but my headunit would. I have three plugs going into the radio, one white and two green. Am i missing something? Also when i plug in one of the green plugs, the dome light will go on. I know the the radio controls the dome light and keyless entry, so i dont think it is broken then. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im a little confused as to your post but......

On one of the green wires jump the light green/red to the light green/black.

To retain your keyless you need to leave the stock deck in the car inside the dash underneith your new nice one.

No, you shouldnt have to turn it on it just needs power, ground and a turn on.

Verify that the stocker is getting those and then let me know.

when i got my new headunit, i lost keyless entry. i bought a special harness to connect my headunit to the radio so i can get my keyless entry back. The problem is that the radio will not turn on when it is connected, but the dome light will work.(keyless entry and dome light are stored in the radio) I was wondering if i need to do something special to turn the radio on.

Did you verify the 3 wires going to the stock deck and make sure they are getting power, accesory and ground?
