well if ya think someone tried to break in... id ditch the stereo right now and get a alarm instaled ASAP!!!!!
cause if they hit it hard enough to dent the metal it woulda been hard enough to set the alarm off...

realy preaty easy....
ive only had one alarm system instaled by best buy and that was my first car before i got into doing everything myself... after i looked at what they did i was like WTF i coulda done that!!!!!!
heres some wire color info for your civic tho ignore the DTI color... thats for thier alarm systems... just use the function and corispond your alarm wires that you buy....

its realy quite easy.... that diagram is for a remote starter system also....
and with a alarm system... they have quite a few extra wires... dont get scared about only using half the wires.....
most come with several input trigger wires and you realy only need the one per for area.... thiers realy like 3 triggers you only need... one for hood pin... and for the trunk.... and third i usualy tie into the dome light and use it as a trigger....
also most remote start systems dont even need the tach hookup... i typicaly just use voltage....
in short dont worry about EVERY WIRE! and hardest part for most newbies is adjusting the shock sensor properly
dont just turn it to max.... or youll **** alot of people off.... and **** off yourself also with alot of false triggers! you want to be able to hit the car decently and it only giving a warning chirp.... and to hit it kinda hard to set it off.. that way some little kid runnen around some cars doesnt tap the car and set off the alarm.
and if you do want a nice unit.... get a paging alarm system... those are great units.. cause the transmiters work alot further! and if the alarm does give a warning or full alarm blast it will page the remote control (as long as your in rage that is) telling you if its a love tap or full trigger or if your doors been opened or hood been opened...
best thing is... doesnt matter if they yank the siren.. doesnt mater the signal has already been sent to your remote as long as your in range you can go out and take care of buisness!
