Need a headunit install walkthrough for a 95 ex civic, dont know how to put it in , pics would help tooo..... lol

 

i had my **** installed by circuit city cause i have a 98 civic ex w/ keyless entry and the stereo works w/ the alarm so my stock unit is sitting behind the dash working with a 3-way wiring harness and i have a weird fitting so i needed a mounting bracket. i wanna put the stock unit back in and go with a slave cd player

 

basics to an install

tools- screw driver, splicers and or e-tape

first, go to wall mart or any place that caries car audio and by a wireing harness for your select car, the lists are on the back.

take that home
unscrew the center pannel covering the deck and unscrew the unit so u can pull it out, match up and connect the colors of the harness to the wires coming from the new deck. use wire connecters,sauter, or wrap with e-tape.

connect the plug from the harness to the plug froming from the car. then put it back and screw everything back and and yay ur done.

 

ABSOLUTELY AGREE makes life a whole lot easier and you won't have to cut up you car harness.

 

well how does teh dash pieces come off, i got the all the wiring finished up i just can figure out how to get all that plastic off...

 

i was able to put mine in without taken the center plastic off. i wrote up a guide for Lucifer on how to remove the center console though, but its for 96-98

 

ill have to get back to you...try giving it a nice tug and see if anything wants to pop out

 

there are a few screws holding it on but theyre facing the floor so u cant see them......take those 2 out and then itll pop out real simply.
