HID Trouble!!
I have a 97 civic and I just installed an HID kit on my stock head lamps. I was told to use H4 bulbs and now I have to turn my lights on and off about three times before the bulbs stay lit. Now I am being told I should have used 9003/HB2 bulbs from the start. Any suggestions???
ya most likely your hid kit just sucks!!!!!! its a very common problem with cheap hid kits
but just to check the hids pull the bulb and put it back in its protective cover and unplug the ballast and put them next to your battery. now clamp the wires to the battery directly and if you STILL have the problem with them not turning on the first time then your hids just really suck!!!!!!!
BUT if they power ON just fine the first time, and try it several times to make sure it does..... but if they do fire up just fine then you need to upgrade your headlight wiring.

Well my friend has an HID kit and he got it from his causin who sells the kits, so he asked his causin for the same kit for me because he loves it. The brand name of the kit is Tenon I'm not really sure if thats a good kit or not...

I am running the 9003/HB2 bulbs on mine. The H4's don't have a high beam. The 9003/HB2's have H.I.D. lows and halogen highs.
I have the flashing problem on my sportbike. I had to run a switch to shut them off before the bike starts. That way the bike is on and the charging system is running to enable the H.I.D.s to get full power. If they don't have full power they tend to blink. That or like the others have said....they are a cheap set.
