How do you get rid of all the rattling other than turning volume down? (98 EX Coupe)
I just ordered a new cadence setup for my EX coupe. I know it's going to rattle and sound ridiculous (I hate that noise).
What's the quickest way to get rid of it? where's it coming from?

dynamat your trunk lid.... tighten the trunk latch and taillights..... the torsion bar for the trunk lid rattles also... hope this helps
You might want to Dynamat your shelf thing in the back seat to if you happen to put in 6X9's. I'm planning on doing this since I'll have it removed, it's started to rattle like crazy. Oh and new stuff will come loose over time so take it as it comes.
well kinda disagree with dynomating everything... cause not everything rattles....
find the rattle itself and then fix it...
most the time NEW CLIPS on those interior panels youve removed once or twice or more can help alot! cause after pulled so many times they dont hold as strong and of course rattle..

weather stripping on the deges of all your plastic interior panels helps a lot too, thats where most of my rattles were with just the noise from my exhaust
I'll tell you this now, make sure you have your rear license plate bolted down pretty good. I only got 2 screws on the top of mine, and the bottom rattles HORRIBLE.. I didn't notice it until someone mentioned it, and I got out and listened.. Wow, it was so annoying. Then I pushed the bottom down, and it sounded ALOT better.
Well, currently.. I have my sub facing my interior, instead of having it face the trunk. I think that helps a little, since the air isn't focused on the trunk and everything itself.. Though, i've had many compliments on the 'massage' it gives people in the back seat [8D].

I got $3 worth of weather stripping at walmart, the foam kind, and did my whole rear shelf along the edge, and a whole bunch in the middle. It helped a bit...
