Default I don't know if this is a DIY or not but...

After being ask a few times in post and pm's I decided to write this. This is how to built a nice custom box in the back of your EG hatch and save space. If the mod's thinks this is good anough the can sticky it. If they want to make any changes to it that will be fine as long as I know first.

Take everything out back there. Tire, jack, tools and anything else you got back there which will be more weight then a box and sub. I can't think of the name of it but you will need some of this spray foam that is yellow and seals really hard and stong when it dry's. You can get it a Lowes. Then you need just the wood that is used to make boxes. After you get you sizes and box built and ready to go in. Spray some of that foam around in there and place your box in. Let that all setup and dry then spray some inside the box everywhere that needs sealed but be sure you can get you speaker wire in. Then put you carpet back in over the box cut your hole and place your sub in and call it a day.

This needs a little more information and some pictures before it can be a DIY

Ok sorry. I didn't think to take any pic's because I didn't really think people would care that much about making one.

it's okay, anything useful can be turned into a DIY, because somebody out there will want to do it.

I remember reading somewhere that the odor giving off by that foam expander stuff while it cures can eat away at your subwoofer surround. So if you do use it to spray inside the box(which is rather pointless if you build a box worth a crap) make sure you wait a couple days before placing the sub inside the box
