Default Installed my friends system ('96 DX)

Installed my friends system in his'96 DX Sedan (who i have mentioned a few times in the past). Audiobahn amp, JL 10" sub, Pioneer 10" sub, Sony Xplod 6.5" and 6"x9"s, also a Pioneer HU (that he already had). I wired the amp and the subs, and also installed the speakers for him today, bumps really nice, install was really clean, speakrs sound great, overall eveyrthing went perfect (except for me blowing his amp the first time we tried this, check my "Blew My Friends Amp" thread for more details. So, of course, pics!

hows the bump with the subs firing that direction? looks good but i'm not crazy about two different subs working together. I wouldnt mind trying a sub box arrangement like that. my rear strut bar limits my box placement options. I've thought about just getting rid of it.

yea he got the subs from two local guys, a few of our friends, so he's just using what he's got. It actaully hits REALLY good, and makes the trunk rattle less than my sub (which is just facing forward).

And he's getting front and rear strut bars soon, so i think i'll be able to use the same system setup

yea that looks really great. I would try to go with 2 JL's as soon as possible though.
I got rid of my 2 10's because they were heavy as hell, and I went with a JL 10w3.
It sounds cleaner, and weighs less, Im thinking of getting another dub3 or going with 1 dub 6 or 7

Haha. That setup is no good, my friend. Pioneer 10 vs JL 10 is not a good idea. Cheap boxes from WalMart also not a good idea.

well....i dont really see whats wrong with it (other than they dont match). They sound great together, the boxes are holding up just fine, theres no leaks in them, but w/e

ya if i was you id try convincing him to match one of the subs.LOL
and what you SHOULDA done is take the carpet loose from the backseat and put a small razor blade slice in it and run the wires UNDER the seats carpet. will look even cleaner...

i like the inside trunk sticker BUT the backglass sticker is a NO NO.... hes just advertising to someone to break into his car and steal his AUDIOBAHN equipment.....

id razor blade that sucker off....

ghetto system ftw. Nice work, lol. Looks pretty good. Mixing subs isnt a bad thing IMO, as long as the power handling of them is nearly equal, so you dont blow one or the other. Nothing to be hurt but pride once you pop the trunk
