i got 2nd in bassrace Saturday 120-129.9db group
on qualify round i got a perfect 129.9db
first elimination i got 129.something. i forgot
2nd elimination i got 129.8db
FINALS i went over 130db and gave up sucked BUT the other guy supposedly always wins BASSRACE. i think i did pretty dam good for my 2nd bassrace.

i went over and just said DAM.....LOL
this is my 2nd bassrace comp and defiantly getting better at it but my system is still small enough where its tricky. i tried explaining it to the guy i was first up against and he was just like me my first bassrace.... confused like a ****! LOL


shocked i did so good with just my backup system. 2 typeR 12s and only 600watts. now im really considering to stay with typeRs just go larger and maybe more.

o ya also on my DB drag i got a 140.1DB

hell my old 12inch RE SX with ruffly 1500watts only did 136.6db last year.

and only 1 battery. the one pictured is my 2nd new one but i havent instaled it yet. and the box is just a prefab fleamarket box.




i didnt mess with the show to much but i did have a few people complement me on a clean civic. and a few people were disappointed when they found out it wasn't a SI.[8D]

 

haha nice. What brand subs and amp do you have?

 

they are 2 Alpine Type R 12s, being pushed by a JBL BP600.1 just a 600watt amplifier. pretty good since the subs should be able to handle 1,000watts total so they can take more power than im pushing to them now.

i was going to go with a single 15inch FIaudio BTL fully loaded for my next subwoofer setup but now im starting to think about going with either 2 15inch typeR subs or maybe 3 12inch type Rs.
ive got a while to think about it and then decide before ill ever have enough cash anyways.....

 

last time i looked, buying a system for a car is a lot cheaper than a couple of years ago. I think ive had my system for about 6 years now, and its still running strong lol

 

well day 2. i sucked at bassrace today, got 4th place. but i won my first elimination round but second elimination i kinda got screwed because i was up against the guy that seems to win every time in bassrace.LOL and i went over 130db.

and I THINK i got the same or really close to yesterdays 140.1db on DB Drag comp....

but for once i stuck around the show till almost the end around awards time and i was SHOCKED when i heard my name for one, let alone 2 trophies. so thats pretty cool.
next year maybe ill be better competition on the bassrace. i listened to what the pros where using so now i need to buy that cd. i just need to findout what cd it is first.LOL




first 2nd place was for saturdays bassrace when i got 2nd place. and second 2nd place was for my 140.1db score saturday in my class.
i was shocked that the two type Rs and only 600watts did so well.
needless to say fun weekend.

 

so what song or cd lead did you find out?

 

3 12's is going to have more volume.... more surface area. have u heard about tuning a ported box to the resonating frequency of the car? and type R 12s handle 1000w RMS EACH!!!! seen it, heard it, felt it

 

actualy they are not 1Kwatts RMS its peak. its only 500watts RMS each 12inch sub!
ive seen them take ruffly 750watts rms each without any problems if tuned right but ive heard of bad things with anything more....
and the resonant freq tuning is only good for comp vehicles.... my systems have always been daily driven hard systems so they need to sound good as well.

 

i never said they were 1000 watts RMS. and i push 100% watts into them daily where i work. and they sound pretty damn good.
i honestly thought u were big into competitions.... i wouldnt expect the occasional competitor to build an enclosure like that lol. too much time.
