I heard the nifinity reference 1230w 12"sub are louder then the jlaudio w3 10"sub is that true

 

mmm, i have not heard the references however i do know that the w3's are not loud and i dnt think were intended to be loud. so that would sound true to me because most things are "louder" then the w3's however...

try to look for somthing different then "louder". try the word "better" . its going to make you more happy in the end.

this guy I know has two 10" jl w3's in a solid box with a 300wat rms memphis amplifier and he thinks he's the bomb would the infinity reference 1230w in a ported box be better and louder

Ok...........sounds to me like you're trying to spend as little money as possible. Why, I don't know. All I have to say is we put a budget system in my girlfriend's car and sounded way more fking amazing than I ever expected.

Sub: Power Acoustik 12" (don't remember the model) but it was like $52 shipped

Amp: Californea Audio 400w amp (bought on ebay, I can't seem to find any more) $75

Trust me, this is not a 'great' sub or a 'name brand' amp, but WOW it sounds great. That cheap little sub has handled 400 watts for over a year now, no problems. I reccomend.
