This is my system so far! (Help)
Hey guys this what i'm currently running.
Rockford Sub single 10"
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...582&catid=
Infinity 7540a Amp
http://products.howstuffworks.com/in...ier-review.htm
Alpine Speakers all around inside.
Front 225 Watts
Rear 250 Watts
I currently have the 2 front speakers and the sub amped. I want to change this because I want to get more out of the rear speakers, I cant even hear them from the front so I wanna amp them.
Whats the best way to do this? I was thinking of using the Infinity amp, to amp the front and rear speakers....and getting another amp to power the sub alone.
So I unplugged the sub that was plugged into the amp, and then plugged the rear speakers in it's place. But I'm not getting any sound coming out of them...... Only bass.
I think somehow the head unit is treating the rear speakers as it's the sub, Because the bass control on the head unit was controlling the bass in the rear speakers.... makes no sense.
Whats do I do?

Is that all it is? lol
So what kinda amp should I be looking to power my sub alone. I'm not sure if i wanna go bigger on the sub or not, but probably not, It will rattle to much.....

Alright thanks guys i'm going to try all this stuff mentioned.
btw, i have a panasonic deck, it has that bass boost where youcan control the sub and turn it off from the deck, i dunno if that makes a difference inthe wiring.
I got it installed by the store. I dunno what the hell they did....

727kid, if you wernt supose to hear your rear speakers, why would they put them in? I know you are a firm believer that rear speakers are the devil, I dont know, maybe your dad beat you with a 6"x9" when you were young, whatever, your issue, but dont go boasting your opinion like its fact. I have a sedan so I prefer my sound stage to be in the centre of the car cause I more often then not have passangers. Its not all about you. If you had friends to drive around, you would realise that. Its personal preference.
Anyway, I recommend using a 4-ch to feed your speakers and a mono for your 2 x 10" subs
. Sorry, I didnt read too much into what the specs of the kit you have is, but thats what I recommend. And do what civicduty said, if your HU has got a rear RCA out, change it to that. If not, check all of your amps HP/LP settings, and your HUs eq. options. Rears were alpines you said, are they the ones with the crossover splits? If so, than this could be your problem.
