New Civic Owner needs Audio Upgrade help
 

I just bought a 2010 Honda Civic Coupe LX. Does anyone know if the stock stereo is amplifier ready? I really don't wanna tear out the dash to put in aftermarket radio. what do you think?

Define amplifier ready. RCAs on the back. Highly unlikely. But you can run many types of amplifiers from the speaker outputs so technically all head units are amplifier ready.

You will either need to add a line level converter if you are wanting to use RCAs or replace the head unit.

And even if was RCA amplifier ready, you would still have to tear out the dash to reach it.
