good deal
Oh, and the remote's really important, cause I ride with my seat far back away from the wheel, back leaning against the front edge of the back seats, 1 hand on the wheel, and my shifting hand fluctuates between the shifter and the remote, which I have conveniently taped above my head to the ceiling
pff
strait up OG gangster...

Thanks for the words of encouragement kannarrjl. According to the Crutchfield/FedEx sites it will be delivered today. I quite excited to actually have sounds again in my car! I hope the stock squeakers can handle the power. I don't usually listen at TOP (Threshold Of Pain) levels, but loud enough to drown out the Pacesetter catback system ;-). Which, BTW, has a very nice sound. If not for that exhaust, I would have installed a head unit much, much sooner! Hahaha

So far so good. I love the sound, way more power than my stock squeakers need... I be thumpin! Hahahaha

The install kit Crutchfield sent was spot-on. The wiring was simplified by matching the colors on the head unit and the car harness (gray to gray, gray/blk to gay/blk, etc). It took longer to get the connections soldered and the shrink-tube... shrunk (maybe I should have used a lighter that wasn't nearly out of fuel!).

The USB input found all of the songs on my thumb drive (it's a small one 128MB) and I'm planning on picking up a much bigger one today. I could wait I wanted to see whether I got it hooked up properly AND if everything worked. The CD works with my burned CDs (good for keeping my originals safely in their cases).

One funny thing, I could only find two radio stations on FM. I tried again, after I had ensured the antenna was connected properly...no improvement. Then remembering the car didn't have a radio, I had retracted the antenna mast to protect it DOH!. I pulled the mast out to "full staff" and viola, I got stations-galore!

If I have to find a complaint it has to be these two:
1) Demo mode is the factory default (to turn it off you have to delve into the manual)
2) The manual which is apparently translated from Korean to English by a Filipino who only speaks Portuguese...ahhhh (I can say that because I too am Filipino) Hahahaha
