It should be easier to do in a civic. It goes under the same lines of for example of a ford ranger, very simple install. Easier running wire, easier everything. Expect to pay around 65 bucks (thats what circuit city charges.)
Really depends on what kkind of music you listen to, what kind of subs your putting in, and how big. I wouldn't chance it and I would spend the extra money and by a type of silencer. You can by dynamat(very expensive) or you can find off brands on ebay that do the same thing. The only difference really is the thinkness, but the amount of money you spend on dynamat, you could by twice as much double up on the sheets and still have enough left to do the doors.

Thats not completely true. We have some really knowledgeable people who work back in the installs and they all take pride in there work. Some have even gone to school for it, and all of them have prior experience in the car stereo industry. But I do know where your comming from. But think of it like this, if you don't do it yourself, and you have the choice between a big name shop (i.e CC or BB) or a mom and pop shop , and someone screws something up, it will be a lot easier getting s*** fixed with the larger store. My opinon.
Unfortuantly, theres no quick fix when it comes to the rattle. Theres 2 things you can do. First, you can go and by a piece or tsunami silencer (they sell that at CC, same thing as dynamat) fir 12 bucks and slap that on the back of your licence plate. Then, if you want to get a little crazy, you can go to your local home depot or lowes and pick up expanding foam. Shot it in the cracks of your upper trunk lid, and it does wonders. $5 a can. You really only need one.So for a small price of $20, your trunk will deffently be less rattly.
