Default Question about my Subwoofer

I am getting a Kenwood KFC-W3012 12" Subwoofer for my 2002 honda civic. I want to know If this will be possible with the factory radio?

It is possible, but i wouldn't recommend it. It won't sound good at all.

If i were u id just save that money and just buy a aftermarket deck, you dont get nearly the tuneing ability and overall waste of money. I sugjest alpine btw

I have added lots of line ouput converters to stock systems, never on a honda mind you but I always had good results when I did. They are easy to add in, also if you go with an aftermarket deck then alpine is not really the best, their quality has gone downhill quite a bit I would go with a jvc deck for bang for the buck sound unless you are planning to amplify the speaker system.

Really? I'd say thats expensive for what he has. But back on topic....

Yes you can do it, I believe with a LOC (line-out converter). I've never used one so I'm not sure how to install one. I'm sure some car audio forum will be able to tell you.

LOCs are simple, basically go to the back end of the deck or speakers at the rear of the car, extend the speaker wires to the loc input side one left and 1 right (if you go behind the deck then use the rear speaker outputs, then switch it to rca out and plug the rcas into that, basically its turning the speaker signals to rca signals for the amp, very simple to install. As an added note some come with a ground wire seperate from the inputs or outputs do not use this wire, its intended for speakers with a common ground which you do not need to worry about.
