This is my first post here since I just got my new 06 civic ex with navi. I wanted to hook up a kit with RCA inputs but not sure how the head unit is laid out. Does anyone know what inputs are available on the head unit. I don't have the cd changer or the xm radio. I was thinking about getting the Scosche kit and having bluetooth wireless. Has anyone installed this? Thanks for all the help.

 

I am sure you can find a kit that will allow you to pop RCA outputs onto the factory setup. You don't want to mess up that nice Navi system :-) Wish I had one..

Anyway, If all else fails you can use a Line-Input converter to take the factory speaker leads and turn them into the RCA signal, and it sounds like thats the kit you had in mind.

If you can get back there, you might have an RCA output on the system, but I honestly don't know for sure. Maybe someone will come along that has modded one of the factory systems in that model.

Wish ya luck either way, you can always break down and take it to a shop, that way you don't have to risk anything.

 

thanks for the help. I think i'll either have to hook it into the auxiliary on the front with an adapter or try to find a CD changer adapter like the USA SPEC thing. any thoughts?
