Running new front door speaker wires for 6th gen

For now I'm going to run my speaker wires directly to the Metra harness behind the head unit to tap into the stock wires. I'll post a picture once I get back inside of the wire boot in the door jamb. For now I'm running coaxial speakers, but I would like to go active and I'd need two sets of speaker wires.

I just had the door panel off investigating what I'd need to do to get wires into the door. The best I could come up with is to remove the front wheel, take off the trim piece in the wheel well, and slice into the boot from out of view. I could run speaker wires through the grommet I ran my 4 gauge through, into the engine bay, then into the wheel well and into the boot.

Sounds too complicated. Any easier ideas?

Thanks!

OT the amp is finally installed. It was dark and late, so I did no troubleshooting. I do have some static with ignition on and a whine with the engine on. When I fade to just right or left speaker things sound okay. When I have both speakers on I hear a popping noise on each bass beat. I am concluding that I am using an inferior grounding point, which is both causing the whine and possible voltage loss. I'll check with the DMM tomorrow.

Thanks Addiction2bass for all your continued help!!!

^ dont then. ;)
if your just swaping a new radio in the car then you dont have to upgrade the wires for the speakers.

the OP is talking about running component speakers which is seperate tweeter and mid bass speaker. but most component speakers have a passive crossover which you can easily put them inside the door themselves and then ran to the seperate speakers.
unless your pushen 100watts RMS to each speaker then i say leave the factory wiring in place.
