Default this Sound System Sound? and some Q's

Alpine 9851 Head Unit
Infinity 6.5 Component System in Front
Infinity 6.5 Reference Multi-Element Speakers in Rear
Infinity 560 Watt 6-Channel Amp
Lookin for an alternative to a woofer, my hatch needs the trunk space (hockey and guitar player)

I'm pretty new to sound systems and have some questions-

What dampening or stuff should i use to reduce door rattle and stuff?

Wouldn't getting a component system be dumb if i were getting an amp?

Should i go multi-element speakers or just buy tweeters later?

What's the difference between shallow mount speakers and regular (i know the obvious part but what's the advantage of getting shallow mount speakers)?

Is there an alternative to getting subs, such as some multi element speakers? Because I drive a 95 dx hatchback and i often need all the trunk space i can get (hockey player/Guitar player).

What do the different channels in an amp mean? such as 4-6 channels.

Thanks lol, sorry for all the questions..I have a vague idea on most of the answers but i just thought id make sure.

Ok I can help with all but the first.
Go multi-element AND tweeters you wont be dissapointed.
Shallow mounts fit more properly in Honda doors. I have regulars in my doors but had to add washers so the windows roll down all the way.
Subs will produce much better bass than an element speaker. Alternative you could go basslink.
Channels just mean how many speakers the amp can supply, 4 channel = 4 speakers and so on.

dont get that. Just get 1 12 inch woofer, but a good one. I would stay away from the 6 channel amp. It wont sound as nice as 2 amps. Get a mono channel amp for the sub, and then a 4 channel for the speakers. When u have the 2 amps u can fine tune everything better, thats why ur headunit has a sub outlet cuz its wired with a little extra juice.. Definetly get 2 amps. Say a 500 watt for the sub, and a 300 for interior speakers. Remember thou, you really get what u pay for when it comes to car audio. Go for the best stuff.

Might as well go for a matching system and score a Kappa Perfect 12" . I agree with PC. Single subs tend to sound better with out much tuning to it either. I dont know what it is but SOUND wise a single sounds superior.

no problem, remmy is here. Check these out and find an amp that you can mount on the trunk wall or back seat.

yes. They sound unbelievable because of their lack of space.
