stereo wiring on 94 DX??
hi im wanting to put my aftermarket headunit in to the civic, but theres no harness adaptor so i need to know what colour wire is which?so if anyone has a diagram or just knows what each colour is for then it would be appreciated.thanks.
All Civic harness adapters are the same over a wide range of years.
The only reason not to use a harness adapter is if some ******* before you had already cut the factory plug out.

well basically the factory harness has been cut off, so all im left with is alot of loose different coloured wires which i dont know what each is for. so what i need to know is which colour is which so i can bullet plug them into the aftermarket harness that has come with my stereo. i dont have a clue which colour is for the remote wire either as im trying to connect an amp. ???
Read your head unit manual to see about the remote wire. It is almost always either blue or blue with a white stripe. You need to run a new wire from the head unit to the amp for the remote. There is no remote wire in the factory harness.
well best if you would go to a junk yard and buy the radio harness and put it back on the car correctly... that way you have the right colors and then you can use the aftermarket harness adaptor.
i dont see why so many jackasses cut that **** off! the adaptors are only like 10bucks!!!!!! but still idiots think they can do it......
now it may not be correct but this is the info i got for my 94 when i bought my alarm...
