He's planning on buying 2 12" 4ohm dvc's if you look at the chart the only + to - setup is for running 2 2ohm dvc's to run at 2 ohms. to run 4ohm dvc's you would piggyback them + to +.

Ok wire each sub in paralell and then in series with each other. This will run the amp at 2 ohm. If you can get your hands on an mtx 801d amp you can run it at 1 ohm. It says 2 ohm stable but i've personally run them under an ohm and the rocked the subs. This amp would be pushing just about 1000watts RMS Which would be great for your subs. And as to the keeping all the same equip brand. That is a urban legend. I've been to numerous competions as a spectator and competitor and any competitor will tell you certain companies make cretain products better. These companies test their equip with all diffrent brands so buy what ever works for you. Granted it does look cooler if you have a matched system but it has no real effect on quallity.

im just going to say...........thats worth it if u are willing to risk FRYING ur amp.......if not dont go under the load rating......its there for a reason........i mean the companies DO run tests.

You can't always trust the ratings on amps. They are almost never accurate. I've been to the mitek plant in monroe WI where they build mtx and they even told me they under rate all their amps so that people arn't using them to the fullest potential due to the fact that alot of people will put 1000 watts into a 500 watt sub.
