what do you mean by miss a beat? do you mean that it will not hit, or it hits at the wrong time?

If it isnt playing them as it gets turned up...I wonder maybe what is the filter setting? 80hz 100hz? (if you have that adjustment) I've had 10's before and when turned up they didnt hit all the notes, cause they didnt have the range. Thats why I've stuck with 12's, they are far more versatile imo.

Ya, we need a better description of misses beats. You statement is hard to understand. Are the subs playing, but NOT reproducing the low sub bass? Or do they STOP all together?

maybe you need a capacitor. your alternator might not be sending enough power to the amp.

Your subs are drawing too much power from the amp.....the amp shuts down automaticly so that it doesnt overheat/blow up. You need to turn the bass setting down, or get another amp, and run seperate amps on each sub. Turn the stereo up and go look at the amp, I bet you there is a little red light coming on that says "Protect"..........

trty wiring your subs so they have a little more resistance, you might have them hooked up as .5 or 1 ohm.

It could also be the amp you have. the amp isn't able to catch all of the bass lines so it doesn't push them out. It could either be a filter that needs to be tuned. Or the amp can't handle the frequency. Does that sound possible or no??
