Yeah I'm saving up for some infinity subs and a Fosgate amp at the moment. Those Fosgate amps sound awesome from what I've heard out of them as well as they're decently priced!

That 12w7 is a serious sub. You are going to need a serious amp to power it right. Phoenix Gold is a great amp. Zapco is the bomb. I have all Cadence stuff. You may have never heard of Cadence but I will take the Pepsi challenge with Kicker/Fosgate/Zapco, etc... anyday, and it's less expensive. It's also made in the USA. I also really like Soundstream. It's also made in the USA. I went all Soundstream in my woman's car and her '01 Lx sounds awesome.

You can put a JL Audio 1000/1 and rock the block with 1 w7.

I would settle for a 10 inch w6 if you thought that your intrepid had too much bass. Also, Look at the Alpine Type R's. They are very 'musical' and still hit. You can put 1 10" in you hatch and put a JL Audio 500/1 amp on it and be happy for years.

hell, get a bully subwoofer dude. ...or 2. Ive heard them recently and those 15" subs have the smoothness of a 10 and of course... the loudness of a 15"

i like 10s cuz they hit faster if you into rock or metal. . . but i guess its just a preferencial decision, how much bass you like, how fast you want em to hit, etc.
Care to explain in acoustical terms why that statement is true in any way shape or form? I'll give you a hint to start with: the statement is false.

lol...bobby is right, the answer is false. Now If you want to get really technical about it, a 30" subwoofer might move a little slower but you will never be able to compensate that it was a little late.
