Default system pics

okay folks here ya go. these are pics of my system i installed last weekend in my 06 lx. i drilled holes for the tweeters in the front kick panels and the rear deck. the fronts were cake but the rear took some time. since i didnt take the rear deck out, i had to use my hands to drill the hole because i obviously couldnt get the drill in that space. i also had to fab speaker mounts for all 4 speakers, and trim the underside of the rear speaker plate. in the trunk, the first thing you notice are all of the wires. my buddy did the wiring while i was doing the speaker mounts so i didnt know he was taking everything up. i will be hiding them this weekend. the sub and amp have velcro to keep them in place and i cut 23 degree wedges out of wood and screwed them to the amp side covers. this creates the lean. all in all it was a fun install. oh yeah, the deck is stock. enjoy.

Wow, looks great. Ive been thinking long and hard where in the hell to put my tweeters in the front without using a q-panel. Thanks for the great idea!!!

the great thing about the tweeter placement in the front is that they fire directly to either the driver or passenger's ears. since tweeters are directional, i thought long and hard about where to put them. in my last vehicle, the tweeters fired straight across my lap, and i never got the quality sound they were designed for.

The only problem is with me, I have a habit of resting my foot there where that tweeter placement it, ive got short legs and that dead pedal is too far up for long comfort.

its sounds great. i was worried that i wouldnt get very much sub due to the back seat but i hits pretty dang hard. i have to re-route my power cable to get the annoying alternater noise out of the speakers, and adjust my line output converters because my rear speakers overload when the bass gets too heavy, but other than that i have zero complaints. cutting into the panels with the hole saw was a little intimidating, but i got over it quick when i saw the tweeters installed.
