Tachometer
since my cluster doesnt have a tach, i was thinking of buying oneand a guage pod. Would this be possible? Howdo i wire it up?

RE: Tachometer
It would be possible, its easy to hook up to, one wire goes to a positive, one goes to a ground, one goes to your gauge lights, and the other to a tach signal. Very easy. Gauge pod gets screwed to your pop piller.

RE: Tachometer
how do you calibrate it once its in? and how do you calibrate spedometer while were on the topic?
|
RE: Tachometer
and where's the spare tach signal wire located, lol. I wouldn't mind finding it myself, might need it for an alarm anyway.

RE: Tachometer
the spare tach signal is in the engine bay on the driver side, right next to the fender. Its a blue wire with a black cap on it, you can just pull the cap off and splice into that and you will be good to go. Its pretty easy to find, its right on the top of everything (usually).

RE: Tachometer
lol I was just looking at that damn blue wire the other day, I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the hell it did other then terminate there. I was thinking, man I hope there wasn't another wire that connected there and fell out somewhere. I couldn't find another loose wire though so i guess it's all good, lol.
I am glad thats handy to get to. |
RE: Tachometer
is it the same wire and in the same spot in 92 civics?
