agreed... although the ole punch hx2 subs werent bad

Yes, I have a suggestion or 3 for you. For the buck; JBL, Infinity, and Kicker will do you better. Infinity being the most high end out of the three and Kicker in last place. However, Kickers are good subs to beat the $h*t out of. Basically they are pretty dependable as are the others at the same time .

Ok I don't mean to rain all your guys parades but I have one word for you ECLIPSE. Enough said.

p.s. if you want subs to beat on and last try mtx 7500, 8500, or 9500's They are fun to beat on. I did a suburban with 2
12" 9500's and 2- 1501d amps and It hit 145db. Not bad for a huge suburban.

A huhe 'burban is actually easier to put up good numbers then a trunk car. Kind of sad though, you have 2 12s with 3000 watts and only hit 145db. I did 146 with a 15" and 1300 watts.....

Accually it takes more subs to move all the air in a burban. I have a 2002 galant which is not a hatch and I run a 600 watt amp to my 12" eclipse and I can hit 140 db. Your creating sound pressure which is harder if you have a ton of air to move. That burban has about 10 times more air to move then your trunk.

True with the suburban, but you can hear it better in a burban. And yes, I am a very AVID Eclipse fan.
