RE: video bypass

i would have to advise to use a PAC bypass unit...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Pac-TR-7-TR7-Alp...QQcmdZViewItem

its a beter name for bypasses in my opinion and used ALOT...

i used a PAC unit on my alpine double din unit and it worked PERFECT outta the box!
i know some units you have to program and crap which just SUCKS!!!!!!!
and some of the kits come with a switch. so you can lock out the video which can come in handy if you drive with it ON and see a cop just FLIP the switch and the video should stop....

tho i never used the switch myself i just hit the AUDIO adjust button on the remote control which went fullscreen and didnt exit out of that audio adjustment until the cop either goes away or you lean infront of the screen and change the screen to just audio. LMFAO

also not sure HOW the backgrounds work on that unit but on my IVA-W200.... check out this site...

they got some that are preaty cool OR make your own and try uploading it... typicaly takes the guy a week to reformat the image and post it up. he seems to do it on the weekends that ive noticed.

RE: video bypass

thanks i just bought it....the w205 seems to bea really nice unit. i was going to get the flip out but i like in-dash better. and i almost got the new pioneer one with the knob and navigation but i decided against that as well because all my other stuff is alpine and i havent had any problems out of my old alpine.
