im glad u like it, everyone has different taste.
I'm glad you respect my opinion. I respect yours too.
I think what would be a good idea is for the OP to go to a nice car audio shop and listen to the various speakers and equipment they have and then make a decision. Many car audio shops have their most popular products on a display wall where you can listen to them.

i rather have no subs then sonys. This statement is rediculous (even if it is missplelledd)
Ok so ive been reading this and am gunna try to help solve it. Sony is infact a good brand overall, but Sony Xplod is not. The Xplod part means that they went as cheap as possible to meet Walmarts price standards. Would I purchase Sony no... but if I had nothing I would grumble a bit then use it. The Kenwood subs keep them sell everything else they are even the Kenwood, Walmart equivalent but they will do. Get a good Alpine, Kenwood, Eclipse or other know brand head unit. Then a quality amp I sugest Alpine and Rockford. Then one thing that your buddy has is speakers get a good set of them then tune everything so it sounds good. Take your time on it. Then and only then you would be happy.
I miss the old Mobile ES line! I forget the model number, but in my 1996 Thunderbird I had a Mobile ES CD deck that had Electronic Skip Protection memory in it! That unit served me well from 1996 to 1999!
But back to the OP, I would recommend a decent amp for the front stage and possibly a budget amp, like a Hifonics BXi series Class D amp, for his subs. I see way too many people focus on their subwoofers and not spend enough time on the high frequencies, where most of the musical material is!
