On the 2003 Civic EX what brand or model is the stock stereo? I did not get the car manual when I bought it used and cannot find anything online. Thanks. I am just trying to find out what aux jacks it has.

 

you need to get the aux jack from PIE. (peripheral interface somethingorother). Order it from crutchfield or go to a circuit city and ask them. Let me guess... you need to hook up your ipod to your radio? Hit me up for help.

I'll stop by circuit city and see if they have a converter or whatever I need. I was looking into hooking up my iPod and my cousin has a sub and amp he was going to give me and wanted to know what outputs the radio had.

well im not sure if your stock unit is goign to have sub outs, you can just use regualr outputs if all ur doin is an amp for a sub. all u need are rca cables ...

i wanna run amp, subs and slave cd player on a stock head unit. will i have any problems

 

well it matters on the year, 5th gen will not work, i dont believe 6th gens will work either but 7th gens might, car companys are getting more and more into audio now so new units might have outs. i know on high end cars they do, but thats cuz those cars have serious stock system. its really easy to find out tho, just pull out the deck and look in back lol, if you have red and white plugs then ur good if not then no lol

 

Have a link on how to take it out? cause I was looking around it and I cant find anything lol. I liked my old stereo just had the 4 holes I stuck some tool in and pop it was out. Its an 03 EX

 

ugh 7th gens...evil.. im not sure how to get the front peice off without looking at it, but it should either pop off or there are screws somewhere..unsrew those and then unscrew the deck
